Another New Mexico Merriam's turkey that snuck into the setup silently.
This New Mexico Merriam's turkey surprised us and came into the calling setup silently. He was taken at 20 yards with a little 20 gauge shotgun. This mature bird has two separate beards!

Three turkeys taken on the same morning in New Mexico. The two toms on the left were called in together. The tom on the right has 1.25" hooks for spurs and weighed near 26 pounds!
This Merriam's tom was taken at 10 yards in the low Juniper country of New Mexico.

This 3-year old New Mexico Merriam's Turkey came up to the decoy and was taken at 15 yards. It has a 10" beard and 7/8" spurs.
This New Mexico Merriams gobbler was shot at 40 yards after it flew down off the roost and headed straight to the call.
