Merriam's turkey taken with a bow

Charles Fowler from Ohio with a New Mexico Merriam's Gobbler.  Outfitter Pat Feldt called in this Tom to 7 yards before Charles released an arrow.  No blinds were used, just normal calling against a pine tree!

merriam's turkey in the gila

PJ Lampros with a big New Mexico Tom Merriams turkey.  Without hearing a response from any gobbler, we decided to setup against a couple pines and just "cold call."  Within a few minutes, this gobbler came walking into the set silently and strutted across a downed log before letting out a courtesy gobble.  This beautiful bird has 1-2/16" spurs and a 10" beard, 22.0lbs.

Russell Leachman from Texas and Outfitter Pat Feldt with a big Arizona Merriam's.  A freak snowstorm shut down the gobbling, but we gave 110% and it paid off!  Read his article.

Merriam's turkey triple

Three turkeys taken on the same morning in New Mexico.  The two toms on the left were called in together.  The tom on the right has 1.25" hooks for spurs and weighed near 26 pounds!
